Troodos, Paphos Forest, Kykkos, and Omodos Tour
Get ready for a Troodos Mountain adventure, folks – we’ve got a tour that’ll have you feeling like you’re on top of the world (literally).
First stop: Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery. This 12th Century gem is not to be missed – and neither are its vineyards, which produce some seriously fine white Ayios Andronicos and Ayios Elias. Plus, the view overlooking Kannaviou Dam is pretty darn magnificent.
But wait, there’s more. We’ll head towards Kykkos, passing through the Paphos forest and taking in all the scenic views. Once we arrive at Kykkos Monastery, prepare to be guided through this renowned and prosperous monastery – and don’t forget to visit Archbishop Makarios’ tomb in Throni for a stunning view of almost all the islands.
Next up: “Timios Stavros.” This place is famous for its cross of 25 meters high, which overlooks Marathasa Valley (and makes for some seriously cool Instagram pics). And don’t worry. We’ll give you some free time to enjoy your buffet lunch or the magnificent view.
But we’re not done yet – oh no. On the way to Omodos, we’ll drive through the pine forest, pass the highest village in Cyprus (Prodromos) and even check out tourist hotspot Platres.
Last but not least: Omodos. This traditional wine-producing village is the perfect place to stroll through cobbled streets, check out the local shops selling wines and olive oil, and visit the church of the Holy Cross. And make sure to grab a Cyprus coffee in the square.
So what are you waiting for? Book the tour today and have some fun outside Paphos!
