Aphrodite’s Beach

Welcome to Aphrodite’s Beach, where legends come to life! This stunning beach is home to Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite’s Rock – the birthplace of the god of love.

As a local, I highly recommend visiting this fantastic tourist attraction along the beautiful coast road from Paphos to Limassol.

Don’t expect any fancy facilities here, but you can enjoy the sweet sound of the sea while spreading out on the sand or over the rocky terrain.

But fear not – a buffet, toilets, and showers are on the other side of the road near the parking lot. And get this – there’s even a passage under the road that leads straight to the beach. How cool is that?

There is free parking across the road and an underground passage to the beach (remember to use the tunnel and don’t cross the road!).

Take in the natural beauty and witness the magic of Aphrodite on one of the most popular and beloved beaches on the island!

Admittedly, the bottom is a bit rocky, but for experienced swimmers and snorkelers, this makes for an excellent spot to explore.

The legend says that if you swim around the rock three times naked, you get luck and maybe love, too!

Don’t worry about those step stairs; they’re just a small hurdle to experiencing this breathtaking beach. When you do make it down there, a fantastic view awaits you at the top of Aphrodite’s Rock Viewpoint!
